Campus parking is free for judges.

Judge Information

Judges will be trained during an orientation at the conference prior to the competition sessions.

We will make every effort to have two judges per competition. However, in the event the other judge is unable to be there, you may need to proceed as the sole judge of the event.

Rubrics for judging each competition will be provided at the event, or in advance if pre-judging is needed.

Some competitions involve pre-judging entries. Artifacts/entries to be pre-judged will be sent to the email address you provide in your registration. Pre-judging materials may include essays or books in PDF format or videos in mP4 format or on YouTube which will be emailed to you in advance of the judges training. Pre-judged materials must be reviewed, scored, and feedback entered on the rubric ahead of the conference for the pre-judged portion of that competition. Additional judging will take place in person at the event.

KNEA will cover your lunch meal at the conference. For current KNEA members (active or retired), you may submit a voucher to be reimbursed for mileage / reasonable additional travel expenses.

For any judging related questions, please contact [email protected].
