Educators Rising Kansas State Conference & Competition 2027

Dr. Debbie Mercer, the Nelson and Marilyn Galle Dean of the College of Education at Kansas State University, is the opening keynote speaker for the 2027 Educators Rising Kansas State and Competition Conference in Manhattan. A four-time K-State graduate, she began her career as a library media specialist and kindergarten teacher in rural Kansas. Since becoming dean in 2012, Mercer has championed innovative teacher preparation, strong school partnerships and expanded support for future educators throughout Kansas.
