2025-2026 Educators Rising Kansas Officers

On Oct.15, the 2025-2026 Educators Rising State Officers were inducted into their offices. Congratulations new officers!

Educators Rising Membership

Membership in Educators Rising Middle/High School division is an annual membership based on the academic year, starting in July and ending in June each year. Members need to renew each year in order to maintain active status.

North East Regional Conference

The North East Regional Conference will be Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Mid America Nazarene University.

South Central Regional Conference

The South Central Regional Conference will be Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Emporia State University.

State Conference

The State Conference will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Kansas State University.

Competition Corner

  • Students may only compete in one competitive event

  • Teacher leaders may enter up to two entries (individual or dual) per school in each event per division. 

  • Dual means two students participating. 

    • For dual entries consisting of students of varying grade levels, the entry will be placed in the division for the grade level of the most senior member. 

  • All team events must have at least two students (and no more than four) per school to qualify. 

    • For teams consisting of students of varying grade levels, the team will be placed in the division for the grade level of the most senior member.

Ed Rising launched lots of NEW competitions this year. Please make sure you download this year’s rubrics for your students as you begin working on competitions. Attached is the ER breakdown of each.

In Kansas:  

The top two contestants/teams in each competition are to be recognized at each regional and state conference.

To advance: 
  • Regionals: Top first and second with a cut score of 75% for competition and contest

  • State: Top first and second with a cut score of 85% for competition and contest

In the event of ties:
  • In the event of a tie for first, please score first, first, third.

  • In the event of a tie for second place score first, second, second.
